The Squash Section boasts two courts, open to members only, which can be considered to be among the best-maintained in the county. The courts boast underfloor heating and new front walls having been recently completed.
The section fields three men’s and a ladies team who both compete in the North West Counties Squash League (nwcsl.org). The men’s teams represent the club in divisions 2 – 5, and the ladies team is in division 2.
A number of members often represent the club in closed competitions with Matt Uren recently winning the Cheshire over 50’s comp, Robbie Blair coming second in the over 60’s and Lee Washburn coming second in the over 35’s. We have a Level 3 coach at the club who also runs a juniors coaching session on a Friday evening.
We are always looking for new members to come and join the section either socially or as team members. We have an online booking platform which means you can book courts up to two weeks ahead.
The section also runs a ‘club afternoon’ from 4.30 every Saturday which attracts players of all abilities. This can be a good introduction to the Club for any new or aspiring members.
